For coaches, competitions also became an opportunity to evaluate the training of athletes. Six months after the championship and the championship of the Southern Federal District, the participants mainly met with their main rivals. This allows the coaching staff to assess the work done, determine the further direction of preparation and form plans for the team for the season 2027.
Competitions "Don Cup" were held in four disciplines: K-1, full contact, light contact and solo compositions.
According to Victoria Nefedova, the best results in the K-1 discipline were shown by athletes of the Korenovsk district, who are coached by Idris Osmanov. In full contact, teams from Anapa, Krasnodar and Tuapse district traditionally remain strong - they, as a rule, occupy team places at the championships and championships of the region.
In light contact, athletes from Krasnodar and Novorossiysk showed good results. Solo compositions, according to the president of the federation, are a complex discipline and are most actively developing in Krasnodar.
Holding such competitions contributes to increasing interest in sports among residents and motivates them to engage in physical culture. It also helps to achieve the indicators of the National Strategy for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports and the State Program “Sport of Russia”.
Recall that sambists from the Krasnodar region won gold, silver and bronze at the world championship in Greece.
