Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinshtein said that the walls of the sports and concert complex have not seen so many fans for a long time. The stands were packed: the Kurians came to watch the Super Cup of Russia on basketball among women's teams. For the trophy fought Kursk “Dynamo” and Yekaterinburg UMMC. The game ended with a score of 77:66 in favor of the guests, and the cup went to Yekaterinburg.

UMMC is the champion of Russia and the winner of the Cup of Russia of the previous season. According to the governor, to play with such an opponent is already a victory: in six years of the Super Bowl, no one beat him. Kursk athletes snatched every ball and narrowed the gap, but before the victory was not enough 11 points. “Dynamo” for the third time was the second.

Hinstein noted that the Super Cup in the region is held for the second time. This is a recognition of the high level of development of basketball in the region and the trust of the Russian Federation of basketball. Its president Andriy Kirilenko personally came to the game. The world sports legend praised the match and admitted that he had not seen such a holiday for a long time.

Throughout the game, the stands did not stop. The audience cheered for Dynamo and Kursk basketball. The governor stressed that, although the score remained for UMMC, this game will be remembered not by the numbers on the scoreboard, but by how Kursk is able to get sick.
