Lokomotiv fell to 15th place: Nagorny asks for forgiveness

The leadership of the capital "Lokomotiv" officially recognized the failure of the starting segment of the national championship and appealed to the fans of the team with explanations. Chairman of the club board of directors Yuri Nagornykh, in an interview with representatives of the media, apologized to the audience of railway workers for the extremely unsatisfactory sports performance of the team.

The functionary stated that the quality of football performed by players at the moment does not correspond to the expectations of the stands. At the same time, he expressed his firm conviction that internal structural mechanisms will allow the football club to overcome the protracted crisis and rectify the tournament situation.

This public repentance followed immediately after another home fiasco in the framework of the 14th round of Alfa Bank – the Russian Premier League (RPL). Recall that on Friday, Muscovites in their field minimally lost to Kazan Rubin with a score of 0: 1, which led to immediate personnel decisions: immediately after the final whistle, the club bosses announced the dismissal from the post of chief mentor Mikhail Galaktionov.

The situation is aggravated by the critical situation in the team standings: now Lokomotiv has only 11 points in its luggage, which is why it is firmly stuck in the relegation zone, occupying the penultimate, 15th line in the championship table.
