The mass race was organized by Vologda residents in honor of the opening of the “Running center of VFLA” in Vologda

At the stadium "Burevestnik" in the regional capital, the "Beige center of VFLA" was solemnly opened. At the opening, the head of the region Georgy Filimonov made a welcoming speech.

It was a sports festival. The main part of it was a mass race. People of different ages and levels of training ran a symbolic one kilometer. The ceremony was also attended by Honored Master of Sports of Russia, Olympic champion Irina Privalova, triathlete and sports blogger Anastasia Tukmacheva. Together with the citizens, athletes took part in the landscaping of the territory.

The holiday ended with the laying of a time capsule. The message to the descendants was passed on by the pupils of the Vityaz sports school. The capsule will open in exactly 25 years, that is, in 2051.

WFLA Beige Center is a sports project implemented by the All-Russian Athletics Federation and Eurasia ANO. The facility covers an area of 250 square meters. The building has showers, changing rooms, a training room, storage rooms, a food and rest area. On the street there is a circle with four treadmills of 200 meters, a playground and a zone with simulators. Vologda residents of any age and level of training can study here for free.
