Milyaev called three new directions of work of the State Council on sports

In the Tula region, at a meeting of the State Council Commission on Physical Education and Sport, the development of student sports was discussed. The initiative to create in 2027 three working groups was made by the Governor of the region, Chairman of the Commission Dmitry Milyaev.

The first group will be engaged in adaptive physical education and sports. Milyaev urged rectors and directors of ssuz not to forget about students with disabilities and give them the opportunity to play sports in educational institutions.

“It is clear that there are not so many students with disabilities, but nevertheless we must do everything so that these guys have the opportunity to exercise their right to engage in physical culture and sports, including in educational institutions,” the governor said.

The second group will be responsible for media support of the industry. The third will be engaged in technological and innovative sports - fijital sports, computer sports and drone racing. Milyaev instructed the staff of the commission to prepare a meeting in this direction in December 2026.

Earlier, “MK in Tula” reported that at a meeting of the State Council, the Governor took the initiative to develop student sports. He proposed to add to the performance indicators of the rectors such criterion as the proportion of students participating in the sports life of the university.
