Minsk “Dynamo” will play with Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo” in the match of the championship of the Kontinental hockey League

Today, October 5, in the evening, Dynamo Minsk will hold the next match of the regular championship of the Kontinental Hockey League. Our team will accept the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, reports sb.by.

Earlier in this home series, the "teeth" could not cope with the Moscow CSKA (1: 4), but beat Togliatti Lada (5: 4) and Yaroslavl Lokomotiv (4: 3). In competition with the Nizhny Novgorod team, the Dynamos certainly expect to develop success. And the chances of a favorable outcome of the match at the wards of Sergey Brylin should be. But Torpedo, who have won 8 of 11 games this season, is a tough nut. And, by the way, the confrontation with the “car factory” that took place on September 7 did not end in favor of the Belarusian squad (3:4, according to the bullies).

Note that Dynamo striker Christopher Tierney (2+11 on the system “goal plus pass”) right now closes the top 6 in the list of scorers of the KHL, and defender Ty Smith (1+10) is the best scorer and assistant among defenders. For the goalkeeper of Minsk Zak Fukale, the next victory will be the 100th for all time in the KHL, and another goalkeeper of the “dents” Vasily Demchenko is still only one step away from the 30th “dry” in the league.

On Thursday, October 8, in the final match of this home series, Dynamo Minsk will host SKA from St. Petersburg, and then they will hold guest matches against Yaroslavl Lokomotiv (10 October) and Shanghai Dregons (12 October). At the moment, the “teeth”, having 12 points after 11 meetings, occupy the eighth place in the Western Conference table.

According to the results of the regular championship 2025/2026, the Minsk squad, we recall, scored 88 points and finished on the second line in the table of the conference “West” immediately after the Yaroslavl “Lokomotiv”. At the stage of the 1/8 finals, the “teeth” won the series against Moscow teammates with a dry score of 4: 0, but in the quarterfinals, the Minsk Dynamovites lost four times to the Kazan “Ak Bars”. In the overall table of the Kontinental Hockey League, the white-blues took fifth place for the first time in history.
