Minsk “Dynamo” will meet with “Shanghai Dregons” in the match of the championship of the Kontinental hockey League

Today, October 12, Dynamo Minsk will fight in St. Petersburg with Shanghai Dregons. The match of the regular championship of the Kontinental Hockey League will begin at 19:30, reports sb.by.

The “teeth” have long alternated defeats with victories. If this trend continues, then today the wards of Sergey Brylin should win, since in the last match they saved before the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv (1: 6). However, at least a few facts cannot but be alarming. "Dragons" won in all without exception nominally home meetings of the current season, and the Dynamo did not win a single guest Victoria. And besides, both previous face-to-face matches of these squads in the regular championship 2026/2027 ended not in favor of the “white-blue” (3: 4, in overtime, 1: 2).

Note that Dynamo Minsk striker Christopher Tierney (2+14 points on the goal plus pass system) right now closes the top 3 in the list of scorers of the KHL, and Ty Smith (1+11) is the third scorer and third assistant among defenders. For the goalkeeper of Minsk Zak Fukale, the next victory will be the 100th for all time in the Kontinental Hockey League.

After the fight with Shanghai Dregons, Dynamo Minsk will return home and prepare to host Magnitogorsk Metallurg (October 14) and Kazan Ak Bars (October 18) in Minsk Arena. Now the “white-blue”, having 15 points after 14 meetings, occupy the eighth position in the Western Conference table.

According to the results of the regular championship 2025/2026, the Minsk squad, we recall, scored 88 points and finished on the second line in the table of the conference “West” immediately after the Yaroslavl “Lokomotiv”. At the stage of the 1/8 finals, the “teeth” won the series against Moscow teammates with a dry score of 4: 0, but in the quarterfinals, the Minsk Dynamovites lost four times to the Kazan “Ak Bars”. In the overall table of the Kontinental Hockey League, the white-blues took fifth place for the first time in history.
