12 Belarusian skaters will perform at the Challenger tournament in Kazakhstan

Belarusian skaters continue to try their hand at ISU Challengers. The Denis Ten Memorial, which will be held on October 8-9 in Almaty, will be attended by 12 of our athletes. It's from sb.by.

Women's solo skating

In Almaty announced 19 participants, including the representative of Belarus Victoria Safonova. We will remind, last week the Belarusian closed the top 5 at the Trialeti Trophy in Batumi with a total score of 186.88 points.

Men's solo skating

Among the ten singles will be Belarusians Vasily Borokhovsky, Alexander Labovich and Georgy Kozlovsky. Borokhovsky and Labovich also participated in the tournament in Georgia. Vasily took eighth place (185.01), and Alexander - tenth (158.44).

Dancing on ice

In ice dancing, 11 duets compete for medals. Belarusians Ekaterina Andreeva and Dmitry Blinov, as well as Victoria Plasconnaya and Vladislav Sytik will show their programs. At the Trialeti Trophy last week, Andreeva and Blinov were just 0.07 points short of third position.

Juniors

There is also a Belarusian representation in the Denis Ten Memorial in junior competitions. Our Varvara Stakhovich, Yaroslav Knyazev, Maria Evtukhina, as well as Pavel Gavdis will take part.

In Almaty, an impressive Russian team arrived. It is assumed that in men’s solo skating and ice dancing, as well as in junior disciplines, the main struggle will unfold between them.

Among women, a serious battle of figure skaters wielding ultra-si elements is expected. Among the participants is the vice-champion of the Games in Beijing Alexander Ignatov (Trusova). She returned to the sport a year after giving birth to her baby and has already regained quadruple lutz and toelope.
