On October 25, the international boxing show IBA.PRO 21 was held in the Brest sports complex Victoria. In the penultimate match, Belarusian Alexander Radionov defeated Cuban Victor Perez, bringing the owners of the ring the first success of the evening. The main fight ended with the defeat of Vladislav Smellikov: the Belarusian passed all six rounds against Russian Teimuraz Surov, who expected to finish the meeting ahead of schedule, reports sb.by.

The program opened two fights, which ended with knockouts. Then there was a media match between Jeff Monson and Moldovan kickboxer Ivan Soltoyanu. For the 55-year-old Monson, the performance was announced as a farewell. Behind him - 60 victories in MMA and meetings with Fedor Emelianenko and Daniel Cormier. In Brest, the veteran went to a boxing fight, designed for four rounds of two minutes.

In the first middleweight Viktor Murashkin lost to Igor Sviridchenkov. Belarusian was more experienced in the professional ring: during his career he met with Gleb Bakshi, Andrei Sirotkin and Vadim Tukov. For Sviridchenkov, the Brest match was only the third professional performance, but in amateur boxing, the Russian has already won the national championship twice and became the owner of the Russian Cup - 2026.

By the penultimate fight, Belarusian spectators were still waiting for the victory of their native athlete. Alexander Radionov came out against Cuban Victor Perez and managed to achieve the desired result. After the meeting, he admitted that the failures of his compatriots added pressure, but the support of the hall helped him cope.
- I was the penultimate in this card. And when so many Belarusians lose in a row, the burden of responsibility is increasingly pressing, because we are on our native land, with our native fans. But it is also encouraging: when you hear how you are supported, new forces appear to move forward, Radionov said.

Alexander noted that he managed to fulfill the plan for the fight. His success was the first Belarusian victory of the evening. Ahead remained the main fight - the meeting of Belarusian Vladislav Smellikov and Russian Teimuraz Surov in the heavyweight.
For Vladislav Smellikov, the Brest ring was already victorious. In May 2025, at IBA.PRO 5, he defeated Dimuntu Shapito from Congo on points. Now the participant of the Olympics in Tokyo, the finalist of the European Games - 2019 and the BRICS Games - 2024 was opposed by Teimuraz Surov.

Rival Belarusian in September won bronze championship of Russia, and in April at IBA.PRO 17 ahead of schedule defeated Bekhan Israilov. Teimuraz is the brother of the world champion - 2025 and European champion - 2026 David Surov. At the same time, he represents Serbia in the professional ring.
In Brest, Surov failed to repeat the early success. The meeting lasted all six rounds and ended with his victory. After the final gong, he admitted that he expected to finish the fight around the third round, and Smellikov’s resilience came as a surprise to him.
- Satisfied with myself 90%. Didn't squeeze in the third and fifth rounds, but there was a series of good shots in the fourth and sixth rounds. In fact, I was surprised that Vladislav defended to the end, because he thought the fight would end sooner. But the opponent was very worthy, and I am very grateful to him for this fight.

Smellikov himself saw in the last meeting not only a test of resistance. Belarus acknowledged the level of the opponent, but stressed that his manner did not come as a surprise. According to Vladislav, it was possible to change the result due to his own activity - it was her in some episodes that was not enough:
- Sounds like a good Russian school. Something I didn’t expect in the fight. I knew he was coming. The guy breathes well. But I won't say I was any worse. Somewhere at some point there were just flops in which I didn’t work. If I had done a little more, the fight would have been different. And so the opponent is really good, quite experienced.

Boxing is gradually becoming part of the sporting tradition of Brest. Following the first Boxing Night in the spring of 2025, the city again hosted the international tournament IBA.PRO, which was also shown by fans from other regions. For the status of a boxing center, such continuity is important - when a high-profile tournament becomes not a one-off event, but an occasion to return to the city again. “Boxing Night” takes place in Brest – the first two fights ended with technical knockouts
