In Tula, the region championship in sports acrobatics was held, which gathered about 250 participants from the Tula and Moscow regions, as well as Moscow - athletes competed for medals in several disciplines, the press service of the Tula Ministry of Sport told MK in Tula.
Participants performed in female, male and mixed pairs, female and male groups, as well as in individual freestyle exercises. Winners and prize-winners were determined in all age and competition categories. The best athletes were awarded medals and diplomas.
Such competitions help to attract children and young people to regular sports, strengthen ties between sports schools in different regions and support interest in a healthy lifestyle. These objectives correspond to the goals of the national project “Long and active life”.
By the way, sports acrobatics has a long history. Its elements—balancing, partner support, and complex acrobatic movements—were found in ancient performances and folk performances. As an independent sports direction, acrobatics began to develop in the XX century, when unified rules and a system of competitions appeared. Today, athletes perform in pairs and groups, demonstrating strength, flexibility, coordination and teamwork. Success depends not only on physical fitness, but also on the accuracy of movements and complete trust between partners.
Earlier, MK in Tula told about sports events that help residents of the region to join physical activity and open up opportunities for young athletes to participate in competitions. For example, athletes from 22 regions came to Tula for an aerobics tournament.
