Temporary mentor of Kazan "Rubin" Oleg Kuzmin publicly confirmed his ambitions to take the post of head of the coaching staff on a permanent basis. Communicating with representatives of the media, the specialist stressed that he expressed his full agreement to take the team without the prefix “I.O.” at the time of his interim appointment.
Kuzmin added that now the entire staff is focused on current sports activities, and the final personnel decisions are in the exclusive competence of the club management.
These statements were made against the background of an important sporting achievement of the Kazan team in the framework of the 14th round of Alfa Bank – the Russian Premier League (RPL). The Kazan team managed to defeat the capital’s Lokomotiv on the road, completing the guest match with the score 1: 0.
Commenting on this triumph, the coach drew attention to the fact that this is a rare event for the team, since it is quite difficult to remember two victories in a row in the national championship, as well as successful matches in Moscow.
It is worth noting that this win interrupted the many years of unsuccessful streak of the club from Tatarstan: Kazan did not bring three points from a guest match against the railwaymen for the past nine years. Thanks to this success, Rubin rose to seventh place in the RPL team standings, gaining 18 points by the current moment. Recall that Oleg Kuzmin has been leading the actions of football players since October 24, replacing foreign specialist Frank Artigou who left Kazan on the coaching bridge.
"Spartacus" on courage drove "Lokomotiv" in the depot.
Sergey Tashuev: “Everything is possible, while it is too early to bury the Torch.”.
