According to the press service of the WTA, the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina decided to withdraw from the Final tournament of the Women's Tennis Association due to health problems. The tournament will take place from 8 to 15 November in Indian Wells.

Rybakina admitted that she is very sad to inform the fans about the forced refusal to participate, as the season turned out to be incredible, but the body is not physically ready for competition. She is set to rest and recover to prepare for next season, wished everyone good luck at the tournament and said she is looking forward to returning to Indian Wells in March.

Instead, Ukrainian Martha Kostyuk will perform at the tournament, who will play in the same group with the Americans Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, as well as with Czech Linda Noskova.
