Five, ten and one family distance. Find out what goals the participants of the marathon in Malorita came for

Today, on October 10, Malorita gathered more than a thousand runners from Belarus and Russia at the 43rd International Marathon - one of the oldest running races in the country, the history of which began in 1984. There were so many people interested that all the places ended a week before the competition. The program includes classic 42 kilometers 195 meters, distances of 5 and 10 kilometers, as well as a family race. Before the start, the sb.by correspondent spoke with the participants and found out why they came to Malorita and what they expect from their distance.

Mother of many children Alexandra Romanyuk came from Brest with her husband and children. First, the family will go on a general race, and the one-year-old baby mother will be lucky in a wheelchair. Then the couple will go to their own distance: Alexandra will run 5 kilometers, and her husband – 10. This format is well known to them, as the family tries to spend their free time actively:

- We introduce children to active recreation and try to spend more time with the whole family. We participate in races and bike rides, go on alloys. Today we will run together first, and then my husband and I will each go to our own distance. For me, running is also a good way to relieve tension. After a whole day with the children, when everyone needs to collect, drive and feed, in the evening you go for a run and switch. In addition, you do not need anything special for training - put on sneakers and ran.

At the Malorit Marathon, the Romanyuk family is for the first time, although she already has experience in participating in such events. Alexandra went to the start of the Minsk Half Marathon and other races, including those held near Brest. In Malorita, she chose a five-kilometer track.

At the same distance, Alexandra Belaya from Ivatsevichi is preparing. But if for a mother with many children running became an opportunity to distract from everyday affairs, Alexandra considers the start as another sporting experience. Her main sport is swimming, and she participates in running competitions for the third time. In Malorita, the girl came with a coach.

Alexandra wanted to try her hand at 10 kilometers, but this year she stopped for a shorter route:

- I like long distances, so initially I wanted to run 10 kilometers. But I'm not old enough yet, so I picked five. For me, this distance is quite comfortable, because thanks to swimming I am used to long loads. Today I just want to run well and get some more competitive experience. Next year I will try a dozen.

If Alexandra Belaya is still waiting for the opportunity to go to the ten-kilometer highway, then Maxim Stasyukevich is preparing to overcome this distance today. However, he first looked towards the main distance of the Maloritsk marathon - 42 kilometers 195 meters. From such an idea he was dissuaded by a friend who advised not to rush and first confidently master the top ten. This advice was especially useful: shortly before the competition, Maxim fell ill and fell out of the training process for a week and a half. He is not going to fight for a specific time or place.

- A friend said that you first need to learn to run 10 kilometers, and then go to the marathon. I think he's right. Especially recently I was sick, took pills and missed a week and a half of training. Therefore, today the task is simple - to run a distance and look at your condition. In the summer I practiced four or five times a week, but I realized that I could not cope with such a load. Now I train about three times. I do not refuse the marathon, but I may try it in a few years, says Maxim.

For many runners, the Malorita Marathon traditionally becomes one of the final starts of the season. Some participants come here from year to year, others just get acquainted with the competitions, the history of which dates back more than four decades. This year, all available venues ran out a week before the marathon, so organizers have already announced that they will increase the number of participants next year. We looked into the gift packages of participants of the Maloritsk marathon - show that inside
