Republican Spartakiad DUSH boxing started in Gomel

The Spartakiad of Children and Youth Boxing Schools of the Republic of Belarus is held in Gomel from October 26 to 30. More than a hundred young athletes under the age of 15 are competing for prizes in 13 men’s weight categories. It's from sb.by.

The participant of the competition from Rechitsa, who won the first victory, shared his impressions:

- Excellent organization of the competition, friendly atmosphere and good attitude to the start of the competition. I have been doing boxing for 5 years and have already achieved the first adult category, and the current Spartakiad gives an opportunity to grow to a candidate for master of sports, I dream of getting into the national team of the region, and then the country. I will strive!

The chief judge of the competition Roman Konyakin said that the strongest representatives of all regions of the country and the city of Minsk take part in the Spartakiad, as well as the best team that scored the maximum number of points in the team competition. The Spartakiad will last until October 30, and then the winners and the most promising young boxers who will join the national team of the country and become potential candidates for participation in international competitions will be determined.

Evgeny Lapshov from Mogilev started the competition with a victory and hopes that participation in the Spartakiad will help him improve his skills and make new friends.
