Ronaldo scored “Al-Diriya” and approached a thousand goals in his career

Five-time winner of the Golden Ball Cristiano Ronaldo brought the number of goals in his professional career to 980. The Portuguese scored for al-Nasr in the match of the championship of Saudi Arabia against al-Diriya, opening the scoring in the 23rd minute.

Earlier, Ronaldo prematurely left the location of the national team of Portugal in the middle of the training camp. According to him, the reason was that the head coach of the national team Georges Jesos twice broke the promises made to the player.

The forward took part in the opening match of the new season of the Nations League against Wales (1: 0), after which he remained in reserve for the game with Norway (2: 1). As the footballer himself noted, initially he was not supposed to go out in that meeting, but the coach asked him to be ready to play 30 minutes and sent him to warm up - but in the end he never released on the field.

Ronaldo is 41. He is a five-time Champions League winner, European champion and two-time Nations League winner. He owns records for the number of goals in the history of football, in national teams, in European championships, the Champions League and club world championships. For Al-Nasr, the Portuguese has been playing since December 2022, and previously played for Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus. Now he has 834 goals at club level and another 146 goals for the national team.
