Ronaldo says he is ready to play for Portugal again
Cristiano Ronaldo apologized for the unauthorized departure from the Portuguese national team and said that he does not intend to end his international career.

Forward and captain of Portugal Cristiano Ronaldo said that he does not intend to end his international career, and apologized for having voluntarily left the team. This is reported by the publication A Bola with reference to the open letter of the footballer.
In his address, Ronaldo admitted that, despite the loss of confidence in the head coach Georges Jesos because of his violation of promises, he should not have left the camp.

“The responsibility lies solely with me. I apologize to the Portuguese once again. I felt that from that moment on, my stay there would only harm the working team, and I did what I always said I would do if I did not feel useful: I took my suitcases and left.
Cristiano Ronaldo said he deserves to be punished by the Portuguese Football Federation without mitigating circumstances, stressing that his status as captain is an aggravating factor.
“Whoever is in football, like me, knows that regardless of the status of every rule is the same for everyone.”.
The player said he would be ready to return to the national team.
“If I’m physically fit, play at my club, with goals, hopefully after serving my suspension, I’ll be available, as I always have been until today, to compete and win for our national team,” Ronaldo said.
