Among the winners scored goals was Michel Merino, who distinguished himself in the 61st and 89th minutes, while the losers only goal scored Ivan Perisic in the 17th minute, and from the 80th minute the Croats played ten due to the removal of Perisic.
The Spanish team has updated its own record for the duration of the series without defeats, which now has 42 matches: after defeating the Argentines in the final of the world Cup with a score of 1-0 in extra time, the Spaniards surpassed the record of the team of Italy, which knew no defeats during 37 meetings from 2018 to 2021, when it was coached by the former coach of St. Petersburg “Zenit” Roberto Mancini.
In the match of the first round of the Nations League, Spanish footballers beat the British with a score of 3: 2, in the second round - the Croats with a score of 4: 1, and in the third - the Czechs with a score of 3: 1, and now the Spaniards lead the standings of group 3 of the top division of the League of Nations, gaining 12 points.
