The NovSU team took silver at the Fijital Florball tournament

The team of Novgorod State University took second place in the fijital florball tournament. The peculiarity of the competition is the combination of digital and real sports: participants fought for victory in two formats at once, the press service of the university told.

At first, the athletes demonstrated tactical thinking and speed of reaction behind the game console, and then transferred the strategy to the real platform, where physical fitness and team spirit became decisive. According to the main referee of the tournament Anton Egorov, the ability to quickly switch between “digital” and reality is the main test and a key feature of the fijital format.

“Fijital florball is an excellent mix of digital and real sports,” Anton Egorov emphasized. First, tactics and reaction speed decide everything, then physical training and team spirit. The ability to switch between these worlds is the main test of the tournament.”.

5 teams from Veliky Novgorod and St. Petersburg took part in the competitions.
