Seven Russian skaters were included in the application of the participants of the Challenger series Budapest Trophy, which will be held in Budapest.

In women’s single skating, Alina Gorbachev and Maria Zakharova are included in the preliminary composition, in men’s – Grigory Fedorov. In ice dancing from Russia will perform pairs Vasilis Grigoriev - Evgeny Artyushchenko, and Milan Kuzmin - Dmitry Studenikin.

Eight other Russian athletes are in reserve. Among them are Alexandra Ignatov (nee Trusov), Dina Khusnutdinov, Adelia Petrosyan and Nikolai Ugozhayev. Applications for spare dance duets were Irina Khavronina - David Narizhny, Ekaterina Mironova - Evgeny Ustenko, and Ekaterina Rybakova - Ivan Makhnonosov.

The competition will be held from 15 to 18 October.

Earlier it was reported that the International Skating Union (ISU) granted neutral status to Russian single skaters Roman Savosin and Daniil Samsonov. Both athletes are trained under the guidance of coach Svetlana Sokolovskaya.
