School sports club from Shlisselburg entered the TOP-3 of the whole country

School sports club "Fortress" from school No1 in Shlisselburg entered the top three of the whole country. The press service of the regional sports committee reported. This became known after summing up the results of the all-Russian project “Athletics in school” for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Sports Committee congratulated all the young athletes of SSK “Fortress” and their mentor – Daria Sergeeva.

The ranking takes into account not only sports victories, but also an integrated approach. Mass coverage of schoolchildren with classes, regular sports events, success of teams at all possible levels, from municipal to federal. As well as highlighting their achievements in the information field.

Let us add that the name SSK is multi-valued. It reflects the excellent state of health and strength of spirit, which gives the sport, team cohesion and the ability to succeed the team. It also refers to the name of the city. In Soviet times, Shlisselburg was called “Petrofortress” and residents still, out of habit, often call it “fortress”.
