Ulyanovsk “Volga” won the guest match over “Veles”

Ulyanovsk “Volga” beat Moscow “Veles” in the rescheduled match of the 21st round of the First League. The meeting was held in Domodedovo at the Avangard stadium and ended with a score of 2: 1 in favor of Volzhan.

Already in the first half, the guests secured an advantage: in the 36th minute, Kirill Vollmer opened the score, and in the 45th minute Denis Rakhmanov doubled the advantage of the team. In the second half, Veles tried to change the course of the game - in the 81st minute Oleg Smirnov reduced the gap to one ball. However, to equalize the score of the Moscow team failed.

The end of the match was also tense: in the 87th minute, Volga midfielder Kamil Ibragimov received a red card, and the Ulyanovsk team finished the meeting in the minority. Nevertheless, the team managed to keep the winning result.

Thanks to this victory, Volga scored 14 points and rose to 11th place in the standings of the First League. Veles, which has 23 points in the asset, remains on the fifth line.

The next match Ulyanovsk team will spend on the road against Volgograd “Rotor”.
