Young athletes from the Ulyanovsk region distinguished themselves at the All-Russian athletics competitions “Shipovka young”, which are held in Sochi. Representatives of the region climbed to the pedestal in two competitions at once: the boys became silver medalists of the relay, and the team of girls won bronze following the results of the athletics quadrathlon.
One of the awards of the Ulyanovsk team was brought by a team of young men born in 2011-2012. Yaroslav Derendiaev, Daniil Lazarev, Artem Granz and Maxim Paramonov successfully performed in the 4×100 meters relay, overcoming the distance in 45.45 seconds. This allowed the athletes to take second place.
Another reason for pride was the performance of girls of the same age category. Lyubov Motkov, Sophia Lyakhova, Ulyana Lyakhova, Maria Buyanova and Milan Popenia took third place in the team standings, providing the Ulyanovsk region with a bronze award.
Both results were shown at the national level, where young athletes have to demonstrate not only individual training, but also the ability to work in a team. The coordination of actions in the relay is especially important, since the final time depends on each participant and the accuracy of the transfer of the stick.
Competitions "Ship Young" are held in the format of athletics quadrathlon, which allows you to evaluate the versatile physical training of participants. Athletes compete in several disciplines, and team results are determined by the results of performances.
For representatives of the Ulyanovsk region, the tournament in Sochi has already brought two awards. At the same time, the competition continues, so the final results of the performance of the regional team have yet to be summed up.
