One of the most productive participants was Alexander Dolmatov, who twice climbed to the highest step of the podium. The athlete won in the Russian press with a barbell weighing 75 kilograms with his own body weight up to 75 kilograms. The second gold he received in the popular bench press, where the weight of the projectile was half the body weight of the participant.
Two more awards in the treasury team brought Evgeny Kitaev. In the weight category up to 82 kilograms, he became the best in the classic lift of the bar on the biceps, and in the absolute standings he took third place.
In the extreme rise of the bicep bar, three representatives of the region won gold medals at once. Timur Sabirzyanov won among athletes weighing up to 75 kilograms, Alexei Kudashov – in the category up to 60 kilograms, and Valeria Klimova became the first among the participants weighing over 90 kilograms.
Vadim Trifonov distinguished himself in the same discipline. Speaking in the weight category up to 60 kilograms, Ulyanovsk won a silver medal.
Among men in the classic lift of the bar, Nikita Matryonin won, who performed in the category up to 67.5 kilograms.
Not left without the highest awards and participants in competitions in folk traction. First places in this discipline were taken by Vladislav Sorogin and Roman Bondarev.
Thus, representatives of the Ulyanovsk region managed to distinguish themselves in several power disciplines at once - from various types of lifting the barbell on the biceps to press and traction.
