At the 64th year of life, after a long illness, the honored coach of Russia in karate Omar Murtazaliev died. This is reported by the Ministry of Sports of Dagestan.
Omar Javievich for many years successfully headed the national team of Russia in karate. During the years of coaching, he brought up more than 20 masters of sports of international class and 35 masters of sports.
His contribution to the development of domestic karate cannot be overestimated, the ministry said.
