Former director of SSOR No. 1 of Veliky Novgorod Taisiya Kuzmina has passed away

Today, October 13, 2026, died honored worker of physical culture of the Russian Federation Taisiya Kuzmina, said the press service of the Ministry of sports of the Novgorod region.

Taisiya Kuzmina devoted her entire life to sports. Having received a diploma from the Leningrad Institute of Physical Culture named after P.F. Lesgaft, she worked in sports societies, sports schools, and the club system. In 1995, she became deputy director of the Olympic Reserve School No. 1 in Veliky Novgorod, and from 2011 to 2025 she was its director.

Taisiya Kuzmina is known as a true professional, experienced leader and responsible person.

Novgorod athletes called Taisia Kuzmina “universal mother” and “world director”. She personally knew each student, rejoiced at their successes and worried about them.

In 2023, by the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Taisiy Kuzmin was awarded the Certificate of Honor for her contribution to the development of physical culture and sports. In 2024, she received a jubilee medal for the 100th anniversary of the formation of the state governing body in the field of physical education and sports.
