In the Telegram-channel of the club of the Women’s Hockey League, a message appeared that the former captain of the Ufa “Agideli” Yulia Karpova died at the 43rd year after a long struggle with cancer. The club expressed sincere condolences to Yulia's family and friends and said that tomorrow's match with SCSO will begin with a minute of silence.
Karpova defended the colors of Agideli from 2011 to 2013. During her career, she also played for Moscow Spartak, Nizhny Novgorod SKIF, and also for Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg Dynamo.
Julia was the granddaughter of Soviet hockey player and coach Nikolai Karpov, who in 1960 became a bronze medalist of the Olympic Games. Under his leadership, Moscow "Spartak" twice became champion of the USSR - in 1969 and 1976. After Karpova completed her playing career, she worked in the coaching staff of Dynamo St. Petersburg.
Earlier it was reported that PSG won the third consecutive victory in the championship of France.
