In the Kaluga region 35 thousand children play sports

About 35 thousand children and adolescents train in sports schools of the Kaluga region. There are 49 such institutions in the region, where 65 sports can be practiced.

Fourteen schools have the status of Olympic reserve schools, another prepares athletes with hearing impairments and musculoskeletal system.

Since the beginning of 2026, 350 coaches have improved their qualifications. Parents can choose a section on the open days, and register a child through public services. This year, about two thousand people used the online record.

Kaluga held 769 cultural events in the summer.
