Martin Gernat will not return to Lokomotiv

Martin Gernat, a hockey player, defender who spent three seasons at Lokomotiv, will not return to the ranks of the railwaymen. This became known on September 22.

The Slovak hockey player signed a contract with the Swiss “Davos”. According to the agreement, he will spend the next season at Davos.

Gernat is a scoring defender. In terms of usefulness - two seasons was the best hockey player of the KHL. But every year the agreement with Lokomotiv was extended quite late, in the fall. According to rumors, Gernat's family was against him playing in Lokomotiv. The numbers of his contract were decent.

Martin Gernat as part of Lokomotiv was the finalist of the Gagarin Cup three times. And twice - champion of the Gagarin Cup.

Earlier, Dmitry Kvartalnov, head coach of Lokomotiv, reported that the team would gladly accept the return of all three legionnaires - and Gernat, and Panic and Frez. But their return seems less and less possible.
