In Orel began Spartakiad among students of colleges and technical schools. The first stage of the competition was weightlifting. Representatives of nine professional educational organizations of the region gathered at one site.

According to the Center for Physical Education and Sports Events, students competed in personal and team competitions in six weight categories - from 63 kilograms to over 85 kilograms.

Following the results of the struggle, the victory in the team competition was won by the Orel College of Railways named after V.A. Lapochkin. The second place was taken by the Orel Highway Technical School, and the Orel Technological College closed the top three.
