Steep ascents, uneven areas and natural obstacles became a test for the participants of the first urban enduro competition “Arskie Hills”. In Ulyanovsk, more than 60 athletes from the Volga regions fought for victory in cross-country races.
The competitions were held as part of the Ulyanovsk Open Cup in motorcycle sports. At the start came the participants at the age of 15 years, who had to overcome a specially prepared track with a difficult terrain.
The drivers were divided into three categories. In the class "Iron" were novice athletes, and in the "Bronze" - more experienced motorcyclists. A separate test “Electro” provided for participants on motorcycles with electric engines.
The course of the competition was watched by the head of Ulyanovsk Alexander Boldakin. He welcomed the athletes and spectators, emphasizing the importance of developing technical sports in the city.
The first “Arsk Hills” were organized by the Ulyanovsk Region Technical Sports Federation with the support of the city administration and the United Russia party.
