Vasily Anokhin spoke about the large-scale construction of GTO sites and “smart” complexes in the Smolensk region

In the Smolensk region, active work continues to create a modern sports infrastructure, which is one of the priorities set by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Governor Vasily Anokhin reported on the implementation of the state program “Sport of Russia” in the region.

What has already been done:

In Demidov at the stadium "Youth" completed installation and assembly of equipment. All conditions are created here for the preparation and delivery of GTO standards, as well as for strength training of residents of different ages.

In the village of Novoseltsy (Smolensk district), the creation of a modern “smart” open-type platform is being completed. It will be equipped with certified equipment. For the convenience of beginners, each simulator is equipped with a QR code that opens access to video instructions on the correct technique of exercising.

In the village of Smetanino (Smolensk district) is almost ready to open a new platform for the delivery of GTO standards.

Also, similar sites for residents are equipped in the Roslavl, Dukhovshchinsky, Gagarinsky, Safonovsky and Shumyachsky municipal districts.

Plans through the end of 2026: Within the framework of the state program in the region, it is planned to complete the construction of the Physical Culture and Health Complex (FOC) in Demidov; Open Complexes in Smolensk, Kardymov and Ershich districts; Modular Martial Arts Hall in Roslavl.

In addition, the construction of the Termoland-Dolphin family sports and health complex continues in Smolensk. In total, by the end of 2026, 12 new sports facilities are planned to be created in the region.
