Vodnik defeated “Rodina” and reached the final stage of the Cup of Russia

Today in Ulyanovsk, Vodnik held another match of the preliminary stage of the Russian Cup of hockey with the ball. The opponent was Kirov “Homeland”, reported in the Arkhangelsk club.

On the eve of the Arkhangelsk people lost to the SKA-Ural piper, and the Kirovs beat the Ulyanovsk Volga. Therefore, in this fight, each of the opponents needed only a victory to save the chance to reach the next round.

From the very beginning, the northerners tried to press the opponent against his goal and made some beautiful combinations. At the next moment, Dergaev already acted as an assistant to Nikita Baev - 2: 0. The Kirovs played one ball from the corner, but the Arkhangelsk people quickly restored the gap - 3: 1. Before the break, Homeland realized the numerical majority - 3: 2.

The second half was dictated by the "yellow-greens" and ended with the defeat of "Homeland" - 8: 3. The "Vodnik" penta-trick designed by Evgeny Dergaev, also distinguished Sergey Kalinin and brothers Nikita and Daniil Baev.

This victory secured a place in the final stage of the Cup of Russia, which will be held in Khabarovsk from 4 to 12 October.

Tomorrow, September 20, Vodnik will hold the final match of the preliminary stage. He will meet with the current champion and the owner of the honorary trophy - Dynamo Moscow. Start at 10:00 Moscow time.
