Yaroslavl sledge hockey team won the tournament in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on the ice of the Palace of Sports "Crystal" hosted matches of the second round of the championship of Russia in sledge hockey in the division "League of heroes" season-2026/2027. Yaroslavl team “LOKO-Sledge” took the first place, ensuring their entry into the next round of competitions. The best defender of the competition is recognized by its captain Konstantin Gorsky. This is reported by the press service of the Government of the Yaroslavl region.

Rivals in the second stage of Loko-sledge were Sakhalin Lions (Sakhalin Region), Ural Wolves (Sverdlovsk Region), Kodar (Trans-Baikal Territory), Tankograd (Chelyabinsk Region), Rostov (Rostov Region).

The Russian Sledge Hockey Championship includes four rounds. The third stage of the Cup will be held in November, the final will be played in March.

The team exists in the Yaroslavl region since 2018. It is supported by the Yaroslavl hockey club Lokomotiv. The Loko Sledge Club now includes two age groups. Adult team and children's team. The senior group includes veterans of the SVO. So, Cavalier of the Order of Courage Oleg Maltsev, became the goalkeeper of the team and successfully defended the gate.

Loko Sledge is inspired by the example of Lokomotiv and from year to year takes prizes in ice tournaments. Its players are distinguished by perseverance, real sports character and ever-increasing hockey skills.
