Anniversary "Commonwealth Cup" in Muaytai will be held in the Nizhny Novgorod region

From 5 to 11 November on the basis of "Sea of Sports" in the village of Bolshaya Sukhodol Gorodetsk district will be held the XX anniversary international tournament in Muaytai "Cup of the Commonwealth". As part of the competition, the Cup of Russia will also be played, and the main event will be a professional tournament - the Emerald League Cup 8, where four strongest athletes from Russia and Belarus will compete for the trophy.

It is expected that the anniversary start will gather about a thousand athletes from Russia and CIS countries. Tyboxers aged 10 to 17 will compete in the Commonwealth Cup, and fighters aged 18 and older will challenge the Russian Cup pedestal. The team of the Nizhny Novgorod region at both tournaments will be represented by a wide composition - only about 100 Nizhny Novgorod taiboxers.

The President of the Nizhny Novgorod Muaytai Federation Maxim Vinogradov noted that the tournament, which has been held since 2006, has won respect not only in Russia, but also at the CIS level. “Taiboxers from far abroad have come to us over the years. Soldiers from Turkey, Israel and, of course, Thailand showed their skills on the Nizhny Novgorod land, he said.

Traditionally, within the framework of the tournament, the memory of the athletes of the regional Muaytai Federation who died during combat missions during the SVO will be honored: the champion belts named after Ivan Alekseev, Vasily Solak and Alexander Biletsky will be played. The culmination of the anniversary Commonwealth Cup will be the gala finals and matches of the Emerald League Cup - they will be held on November 11, beginning at 12:00.
