A young man from Dagestan won silver at the European Boxing Championship

Dagestani Magomed Hajiyev won the silver medal of the European Boxing Championship among young men aged 15-16 in Montenegro, the Ministry of Sport of Dagestan reports.

In the weight category up to 63 kg, he held five fights. On the way to the final, Hajiyev defeated rivals from Belgium, Belarus, Turkey and Italy, and in the decisive battle he lost to the representative of Georgia Nikoloz Khizanishvili.

The Russian team won 13 medals (four gold, four silver and five bronze) and took second place in the team standings.
