Young chess players from Kislovodsk won six medals at the Stavropol Championship

In Stavropol, the championship of the Stavropol Territory in chess was held, which gathered the strongest young athletes of the region. Kislovodsk chess players returned home with six medals.
The main hero of the tournament was Alexander Andreev, a student of school No22. He became a two-time champion: he won gold in the blitz, winning all 11 games, and gold in Rapid, where he won the decisive game in the last round.
Alexander Zhukov, a student of school No. 2, climbed the pedestal twice: silver in a blitz and bronze in fast chess. Maria Adamova, also representing school No. 2, won silver in rapid and bronze in blitz.
“Behind each of these awards are hours of training, the ability to think a few moves ahead, composure in decisive games and support for mentors and families,” said the head of Kislovodsk Yevgeny Moiseev.
He congratulated Alexander Andreev, Alexander Zhukov and Maria Adamova, their parents and coaches on their success, wishing them new victories, bright games and championship titles.
