With the help of AI, consumers are more likely to choose snacks with a high content of protein and products designed with particular health characteristics or goals in this area, the authors of the report note. The use of AI also makes Americans more likely to choose snacks with unusual tastes.
Conagra Brands also noted the general trend of buying more healthy snacks in the context of the popularity of a healthy lifestyle. This is due to the fact that many consumers use drugs for weight loss. “Interest in snacks, rich in various nutrients, and snacks for specific purposes began to really grow and accelerate,” says senior vice president of business development Bob Nolan. According to him, consumers are increasingly studying the composition of snacks in detail and using AI, including to find snacks with a higher content of protein or fiber.
Recently, products with high protein content have become popular among ordinary consumers. In 2025, the global market for protein products was estimated at $56 billion. According to analysts, by 2034 it will double.
