43-year-old Zhang Yiming, founder of ByteDance, which owns the social network TikTok, became the richest man in Asia. His fortune exceeded $105 billion, follows from the rating of Bloomberg. He overtook Indian billionaire Gautam Adani.

According to Bloomberg, since March 2019, Zhang Yiming’s fortune has grown more than eightfold. Over the past month, it has increased by more than $12 billion. The main driver of his growth was the development of AI innovations in ByteDance. The company is actively promoting Doubao chatbot and video generation tool Seedance.

Gautam Adani, the head of the Adani Group, was worth $120 billion until the summer of 2026, but then began to decline due to rising oil prices and lower bond yields. Gautam Adani now has $104.8 billion. The third place in the ranking by a large margin is taken by the head of Indian Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani with a fortune of $86.9 billion.
