The workshops will repair critical components of electronics and hydraulics. The appearance of such centers in Lithuania will reduce the time of repair, according to the Ministry of Defense.
“Lithuania has become the first country in the world to which France transfers technological expertise in the repair of electronic and hydraulic components of Caesar systems,” the ministry said in a statement. Defense Minister Robert Kaunas assured that the opening of such workshops will also increase the competence of Lithuanian specialists
Caesar is manufactured by the French company Nexter. The maximum firing range, depending on the projectile, varies from 41 to 55 km. At the end of 2025, Lithuania purchased 48 Caesar Mk IIs from France.
