In The Hague, riots occurred in Malijeveld Square in the city center. At least one police officer was injured in clashes between protesters and security forces, the NL Times reported. Law enforcement officers used pepper gas and water cannons against the protesters.
A group of people carrying the flags of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) protested outside the headquarters of the European Mission in Pristina (EULEX). They began to throw bottles and stones at the building. Protesters tried to enter the building but were stopped by police. Around the building pulled additional police forces, writes Srpski Kompas.
Hashim Thaci and three KLA associates were detained and taken into custody in The Hague on November 5, 2020. The trial began in April 2023. According to the prosecution, during the years of armed struggle with Serbia, more than 50 KLA centers were created, in which its opponents, including Albanians, Serbs and Roma, were illegally detained.
