In the American district of Grand Travers, Michigan, an F-16 fighter crashed, the pilot ejected. According to CNN, the plane participated in exercises at the National Guard base in the city of Alpena.

The fighter flew in tandem with another F-16. As follows from the negotiations between the dispatcher and the pilot of the second aircraft, the crashed board gave a distress signal. A possible cause of the crash was the collision of a fighter with a bird, which caused engine failure.

On board was only the pilot, he ejected to the crash. The pilot is hospitalized and in stable condition. State police said all residents within a one-mile radius had been evacuated due to "a spill of dangerous chemicals related to the plane crash.".
