The launch of the 14th test flight will take place from the Starbase launch pad in Boca Chica, Texas. The starting date was scheduled for September 22, but was postponed.
During the mission, the 124-meter rocket system as part of the Super Heavy upper stage and the ship should rise to an altitude of about 275 km and make six turns around the Earth.
The duration of the mission will be about 10 hours, after which the ship will splash down in the Pacific Ocean west of Chile. The Super Heavy upper stage will land on water in the Gulf of Mexico seven minutes after liftoff.
As noted in the company, the feature of the flight will be not only the first output of the system into low-Earth orbit, but also the output of 26 new-generation Internet satellites Starlink V3. Three of these vehicles are equipped with special cameras for shooting the heat shield of the upper ship when returning to the atmosphere.
