Russia and Denmark have a channel to prevent dangerous incidents at sea, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said. All Russian sailors are “professionally trained” and always “act professionally” in all situations.

“Firstly, there is an extensive network of bilateral agreements to avoid dangerous military incidents, incidents at sea, where all relevant procedures are prescribed, which just exclude the occurrence of such incidents,” the deputy minister said.

On September 15, the Danish Foreign Ministry reported that the Russian frigate launched signal rockets into the Danish helicopter while it was conducting a “planned photograph” of the ship. The incident occurred near the Danish city of Gedser. The Danish Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the corvette “Smart” used signal missiles to prevent a possible provocation in the Baltic Sea.
