Ukraine terminates agreement with Belarus on notification of nuclear accidents

Ukraine has terminated an intergovernmental agreement with Belarus on prompt notification of nuclear accidents. The resolution was published on the website of the Government of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has been instructed to notify the Belarusian government of the denunciation of the agreement. The reasons for the decision are not specified.

The agreement of Ukraine and Belarus on cooperation in the field of radiation safety was signed in October 2001 in Kyiv.
