The Pentagon has declassified and published a sixth batch of documents, audio and video files about unidentified flying objects (UFOs). In total, these documents have 71 files: 55 text, 15 video and 1 audio. The data relate to events from 1952 to 2025. Most of the reported UFO encounters remain “unsolved.”.
The new package includes archival files of the US Air Force Project Blue Book, which from 1952 to 1969 collected and analyzed reports of UFOs and was the largest known project of the US government in the twentieth century. In addition, the Pentagon included in the package fresh videos of the movement of UFOs made by the US military and police in 2023-2025 in the Middle East and the Yellow Sea.
Experts interviewed by CBS News note that the most important documents in this batch concern the secret program of the US Defense Intelligence Agency for the use of advanced aerospace weapons systems (AAWSAP). The program was created in 2007-2008 to study advanced aerospace threats and breakthrough technologies of foreign adversaries, as well as unidentified aerial phenomena. It existed until 2012, and during the years of work, experts managed to study such areas as superluminal travel, antigravity, negative energy, vacuum engineering, high-frequency gravitational-wave communications, the effect of electromagnetic radiation on biological human tissues, including the analysis of physiological effects in contact with anomalous objects, etc.
The disclosure of documents about UFOs was made at the direction of US President Donald Trump, who in mid-April promised to disclose “curious” data on the subject. The first set of 158 files was released on May 8.
