Putin: Ukraine is doing everything against the resumption of negotiations with Russia
The Ukrainian authorities publicly offer Russia to resume negotiations, but are doing everything to prevent this, said Russian President Vladimir Putin. He recalled the strike of the armed forces of Ukraine on the Zaporizhzhia region, in which the chairman of the precinct election commission Elena Astana was killed.

“It is not clear why they do this at all. To intimidate us? It is obvious to everyone that this is impossible. So, the goal can be only one: they do not want to conduct any negotiations, that is what we are talking about, Putin said at a meeting of the Military-Industrial Commission.
The last talks between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine were mediated by the United States on January 23-24 and February 4-5 in Abu Dhabi, then on February 17-18 in Geneva. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly expressed readiness to meet with Vladimir Putin, including during the G20 summit in Miami in December. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov ruled out such a possibility and offered Moscow as an alternative platform.
