US President Donald Trump has denied access to the White House to journalists CNN, MS NOW and Politico. He accused the editors of these media of publishing fakes about the activities of the American administration.

The media should not constantly write or report fiction and lies when covering the activities of the President of the United States, the Trump administration or the United States as a whole. The same will happen with other media that publish fakes, Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.

In February 2025, Donald Trump barred Associated Press reporters from accessing the White House Oval Office and aboard the presidential plane. The reason was that the editorial office of the agency refused to use the new name of the Gulf of Mexico, which the US president renamed the American one. The Associated Press challenged the decision, citing the First Amendment to the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech and freedom of the press. The case is pending.
