The Ministry of Defense of South Korea recorded another launch of a projectile from the eastern coast of the DPRK towards the Sea of Japan, reports Reuters. A few hours ago, the North Korean military launched a ballistic missile in the same direction.

The type of projectile is not specified. There are no other details about the second launch.

The first projectile of the day was launched at 15:00 local time (09:00 GMT). The South Korean military confirmed it was a ballistic missile. It covered about 450 km and landed outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone.

Pyongyang launched several more ballistic missiles last week, protesting against joint military exercises by the United States, South Korea and Japan. The sister of the leader of the DPRK and head of the department of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea Kim Ye-jong at the same time accused the countries of the constant aggravation of the situation in the region.
