Poland raised fighters because of the Russian Il-20 over the Baltic

The Polish fighters were raised because of the Russian Il-20, said Polish Defense Minister Vladislav Kosiniak-Kamysh. According to him, the plane was intercepted over the Baltic Sea 40 km from the Polish coast.

“These are not isolated incidents, but an element of constant pressure. The skies of Poland are under continuous surveillance, and the Polish army remains on combat readiness! – wrote the Minister of defense in the social network X.

Poland has repeatedly raised fighters because of the actions of the Russian air force. Earlier, the fighters were raised on September 1 because of the Il-20 of Russia over the Baltic Sea. In August, the planes were scrambled because of “the activities of Russian long-range aviation striking Ukraine.”.
