According to the EC representative, the decision of the G7 countries to allocate 100 million barrels of oil and diesel from strategic reserves will have a positive impact on the cost of fuel for EU countries.
On October 2, the G7 countries announced a decision to release 100 million barrels of petroleum products from reserves over four months. After this statement, oil prices began to decline, said the head of the International Energy Agency Fatih Birol. Foreign media believe that the G7 countries took this step under pressure from Donald Trump, who wants to stop the rise in fuel prices in the United States ahead of the November congressional elections.
